Tekra is a trading company with over 30 years of experience and a leading market position in the supply, B2B trade and engineering of a wide range of products and comprehensive solutions for in-building installations – electrical materials and equipment, lighting, security and fire safety systems, information systems and building automation.

Founded under the name Teletek, the company began its active development simultaneously as a trading, manufacturing and installation business in the field of security and surveillance systems.

The company took a significant step by launching sales of a new product group — "Electrical Materials and Equipment", introducing the products of the global manufacturer Legrand to Bulgaria for the first time.

Rapid growth defined the next stage of the company's development. Teletek restructured by spinning off two of its activities into separate companies — manufacturing into the new entity Teletek Electronics, and installation and engineering into Teletek Engineering (later renamed Siltek Engineering).

The company relocated to a new building with a distribution warehouse and a showroom featuring an exceptionally rich selection of specialised technical and electrical products distributed by TEKRA.

The company focused on developing its regional sales offices — adding on-site stock storage and showrooms at all of its branches across the country.

In recent years the company expanded its product portfolio to include all products required for building electrical installations and launched a new phase in its development as a wholesale distributor. During the same period, the company decided to rebrand and introduced its new name TEKRA.
